The Rev. Dr. Patience Kisakye Scholarship Fund honors the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Patience Deborah Kisakye—a pastor, educator, theologian, advocate, and servant leader whose life was devoted to faith, education, justice, and empowering others.
Established through Divine Hearts Foundation, the Fund provides educational opportunities to vulnerable and economically disadvantaged children and young people in Uganda who demonstrate academic potential, leadership, commitment to community service, and financial need.
Rev. Dr. Kisakye believed deeply in the transformative power of education. Her own academic journey included a Doctor of Ministry in Practical Theology from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University, a Master of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, and a Master of Arts in Religious Communication from United Theological Seminary. Her ministry and professional life extended across Uganda and the United States.
Her relationship with Divine Hearts Foundation was especially connected to helping vulnerable children access education. The Foundation has previously described the scholarship as supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate commitments to community service, leadership, and academic excellence.
