Through scholarships, tutoring services, and after-school programs, we empower young minds to break free from the chains of poverty and envision a brighter future.
In acknowledgment of the pivotal role women play in community development, Divine Hearts Foundation undertakes empowering initiatives. We offer vocational training, skill development workshops, and mentorship programs to equip women with the tools they need to thrive economically and socially.
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (W.A.S.H) Program
Commonly known as Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (W.A.S.H), our program addresses the critical need for clean and safe water in Uganda, where over 38 million people, or 83% of the total population, lack access to this essential resource.

Innovation & Vocational Skilling
Divine Hearts Foundation equips young people and women with practical skills that lead to work and enterprise. Our Divine Hearts Training Institute was established in 2016 in Nansana Municipality, Uganda, and between 2016 and 2019 graduated 309 certificate and diploma students in hairdressing, fashion design and tailoring, entrepreneurship, basic computing, soap making and Vaseline making. Operations were suspended in 2019 largely because the premises were rented — which is why we are now building a permanent home: the Divine Hearts Vocational Training & Innovations Hub. 2027 programme budget: $208,300. Establishing the Hub is a $100,000 project, beginning with acquiring and titling approximately six acres of land in Wakiso District.

EmpowerHER
EmpowerHER equips women to earn, lead and thrive. Women complete 12-week courses in tailoring, agribusiness and culinary arts, together with digital and financial literacy, health education, leadership training and ongoing mentorship. Select graduates receive seed funding to start or grow a small business. 2027 programme budget: $39,000.

Our Community Health work brings basic care closer to the communities we serve, through health outreach and support for community health facilities, including the development of Namunkanaga Medical Center. 2027 programme budget: $7,000.
U.S. Community Engagement
In the United States, Divine Hearts Foundation serves communities in Washington, DC, Montgomery County, Maryland, and Massachusetts — where we are establishing a youth programme in Lowell. All our U.S. community services are open to everyone regardless of faith.
The health and well-being of the communities we serve take precedence
Our organization provides nutritional support to children and families facing food insecurity. Additionally, we collaborate with healthcare professionals to offer medical clinics, wellness workshops, and access to essential healthcare services.
Central to our mission is the spiritual growth of individuals and communities
Through prayer groups, Bible studies, and community outreach, we foster spiritual enrichment, creating a foundation for holistic well-being.
Understanding the challenges faced by vulnerable youth
We establish safe spaces where they can find support, mentorship, and recreational activities. These spaces aim to guide them away from negative influences, nurturing their personal development and building resilience.
