Uganda

Where Our Story Began. Where Opportunity Continues to Grow.

Uganda is where the story of Divine Hearts Foundation began.

Founded in 2012, Divine Hearts Foundation grew from a simple conviction: children and families facing poverty and vulnerability deserve more than sympathy. They deserve opportunities to learn, develop their abilities, live healthy lives and build better futures.

What began with a strong commitment to vulnerable children has grown into a broader community-development mission serving children, youth, women and families.

More than a decade later, Uganda remains at the heart of our work. Our experience has taught us that lasting community transformation cannot be achieved by addressing one problem in isolation.

A child may receive a school opportunity but live in a community without reliable clean water. A young woman may complete school but lack employable skills. A mother may learn a vocational skill but lack the business knowledge or market connection necessary to generate income. A community may receive a borehole but need systems to maintain it.

That is why Divine Hearts Foundation has developed an integrated approach built around four interconnected stages:

Survive. Learn. Earn. Thrive.

Education & Sponsorship

Education has been central to Divine Hearts Foundation since our earliest days. Through our Education & Sponsorship Program, we work to help vulnerable children and young people access education and the resources necessary to remain engaged in learning.

Our support may include school fees or scholarships, scholastic materials, mentorship, school necessities and other educational assistance according to individual circumstances and available resources.

But our vision extends beyond paying school fees. We want children to develop confidence, character, skills and aspirations that can prepare them for adulthood.

Our long-term hope is that children who receive opportunities today will become professionals, entrepreneurs, parents, leaders and community builders who create opportunities for others tomorrow.
