The Divine Hearts Vocational Training & Innovations Hub is a transformative initiative of Divine Hearts Foundation designed to equip young women, young mothers, and out-of-school youth with practical vocational skills, entrepreneurship training, innovation opportunities, mentorship, and pathways toward sustainable livelihoods.
The project builds on the legacy of the Divine Hearts Training Institute, established in 2016 in Nansana Municipality, Uganda. Between 2016 and 2019, the Institute trained and graduated 309 students through certificate and diploma programs in Hairdressing, Fashion Design and Tailoring, Entrepreneurship, Basic Computing, Soap Making, and Petroleum Jelly/Vaseline Making. We are now working to reopen and expand this vision into a permanent training and innovation hub where skills can become opportunities, ideas can grow into businesses, and individuals can build stronger and more economically independent futures.
Divine Hearts Foundation equips young people and women with practical skills that lead to work and enterprise. Our Divine Hearts Training Institute was established in 2016 in Nansana Municipality, Uganda, and between 2016 and 2019 graduated 309 certificate and diploma students in hairdressing, fashion design and tailoring, entrepreneurship, basic computing, soap making and Vaseline making. Operations were suspended in 2019 largely because the premises were rented — which is why we are now building a permanent home: the Divine Hearts Vocational Training & Innovations Hub. 2027 programme budget: $208,300. Establishing the Hub is a $100,000 project, beginning with acquiring and titling approximately six acres of land in Wakiso District. Our immediate goal is to raise $100,000 to establish the Divine Hearts Vocational Training & Innovations Hub, beginning with acquiring and titling approximately six acres of land in Wakiso District, Uganda.
