EmpowerHER: Women’s Empowerment Project by Divine Hearts Foundation
This is a transformative women’s empowerment initiative aimed at providing skills, knowledge, and resources to women in underserved communities across Uganda. By offering training in vocational skills, digital literacy, financial independence, and community leadership, EmpowerHER unlocks economic opportunities and fosters self-reliance. With EmpowerHER, Divine Hearts Foundation champions the belief that empowered women are essential to creating vibrant, resilient communities.
Project Goals
Skill-Building for Economic Independence EmpowerHER equips women with hands-on vocational skills tailored to local market needs, such as tailoring, agribusiness, and culinary arts, empowering them to pursue stable, sustainable incomes.
Through practical business training and financial literacy courses, participants learn essential skills in budgeting, savings, investment, and business planning, setting a strong foundation for their economic success.
EmpowerHER provides digital training, including computer basics, social media use for business, and e-commerce skills, bridging the digital divide and enhancing women’s access to online markets, job opportunities, and resources.
Our program offers workshops on reproductive health, nutrition, mental well-being, and preventive care, equipping women with the knowledge needed to make informed health decisions for themselves and their families.
EmpowerHER fosters leadership development through public speaking and community organizing workshops, empowering women to become advocates for positive change within their communities.
Project Features
12-week courses and ongoing mentorship connections with industry professionals.
Select graduates receive seed funding and join an alumni network for continued support and collaboration.
Partnerships with local businesses to offer internships and job placements, giving women direct entry into the workforce or entrepreneurial ventures.
