At Divine Hearts Foundation, our W.A.S.H program is dedicated to changing this reality by drilling boreholes and constructing water wells to provide clean and safe water to communities in need.

Commonly known as Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (W.A.S.H)

Our program addresses the critical need for clean and safe water in Uganda, where over 38 million people, or 83% of the total population, lack access to this essential resource. Many families are forced to walk more than 9 miles to the nearest water source, often shared with animals, which poses significant health risks and consumes valuable time.

How You Can Help

Your support is crucial in making a difference. Your gifts and donations allow us to drill and build boreholes that supply clean and safe water. In the past, it has cost as $8643 to drill and build one borehole which normally serves up to 1,000 families daily. This not only ensures access to vital water resources but also helps reduce the prevalence of waterborne illnesses and save children from missing school as they walk distances to fetch water.
